Our team and outreach location!

A little more information on our team: I think I failed to mention that we are doing a Crossroads DTS (CDTS). The program is for anyone 25 and older.. families, singles, you name it. In our group we have 11 adults and 12 beautiful children, The kids' ages range from 3 to 13. We have one international family from Brazil, and the rest of the families outside of Bella and I come from all over the country. We are all doing the lecture phase together, and will also be doing outreach together as a team.

Bella and I are sharing a room with another single mom and her 4 year old daughter. It is a challenge, as you can imagine coordinating schedules, and trying to get through melt downs, etc. but I know that it is a blessing and that we will function as a little family as time passes and we become more comfortable with each other.

Please be in prayer for our team for an environment of grace, safety and unity.

So... where are we going?

The answer is Bontoc, Philippines!!!!!!

It is a location I totally didn't expect as it is not one of the nations that YWAM Salem targets such as India, Sudan, etc, etc. but I am SO excited. Bontoc is within the mountainous region of The Philippines with unique rice terrace formations (pictured) and indigenous tribes that inhabit the area. I do not know yet the scope of what we will be doing there and have a lot of research to do as far as the culture, religion  and overall facts about the nation.

What is really cool with this location is that Bella is 1/4 Filipino. Her dad was born there and raised there for several years, and her grandma still holds all her cultural values from there. I am praying that doors would be opened and redemption within their family unit could come as Bella travels there and becomes familiar with that part of her heritage.
